October has arrived with it's beautiful blue skies and colors of crimson, gold and orange. This has always been my favorite month of the year. As a child it was because my birthday and Halloween both occurred in October. Now, the birthdays don't bring the excitement they did when I was six and costumes and trick or treating are a pleasant, but distant, childhood memory. But, October is still my favorite month. I love the cooler breezes after our hot, humid summers here in Virginia and I absolutely love the pumpkins, gourds, and colorful leaves that appear, along with visits to apple orchards. It just seems to refresh me and make me happy in a simple, uncomplicated way, kind of like the birthdays and Halloween nights of childhood.

As much as I adore Fall, I'll be transitioning into holiday mode with my doll making. So, be on the lookout for snow people, Santas and Angels coming soon.

I hope you all can get out and celebrate the beauties, sights and smells of this gorgeous time of the year.
