Something New in My Etsy Shop

I finally have something to go in my Etsy shop (the link is in the column to the right). I love how this very primitive Black Cat masquerading as a Witch turned out! Very primitive. Hope you'll check her out.

I'm trying to finish up a doll for the TDIPT Mercantile update Sunday night. This month the theme is "Country Fair". I couldn't come up with anything to fit the theme so mine will be Halloween. Each year I can hardly wait to start making Fall/Halloween things, it is absolutely my favorite time of the year. So check out the Mercantile starting around 9:00 P.M. Eastern time Sunday night, I hope I'll get my doll finished in time. I'm down to the finishing touches but as any doll artist will tell you, that can take longer than making the actual doll!

Hope to see you there!

On Ebay~A New Angel

I finished and listed this Angel Hanger on Ebay tonight. She's listed for 5 days and will end Sunday night at 9:00P.M. Eastern time.
She comes with a different little accent for each season. Pictured above is the Spring heart. There's a star for Summer, a Jack~O~Lantern for Fall and a Snowman head for Winter. I used velcro to attach them so it's very simple to switch them out for the next season. Hope you get a chance to take a look. Simply click on my Ebay link to the right to find her.

I hope you all enjoyed the first long weekend of the Summer season. I cannot believe how quickly the year is zooming by, 7 months from now Christmas will be over!!

Next I'll be working on some things for my friend Donna of Southern Star Antiques to take with her to a show in South Carolina. I'll give you more info on that soon.
Well enjoy the rest of the week.

Some New Pictures

I've been working on some Americana and Fall/Halloween designs for a shop here in Virginia, the Witch Hanger pictured above is one of the pieces I finished this week. Fogive my picture quality, I had to take it inside because we have had very cloudy, rainy weather today. I'll be finishing up the sewing for Mary's shop this week and possibly I can get something finished for Ebay or my Etsy shop.
Simply Primitives updated this past week, I won't be listing on there again until probably September. We have a large garden and I'll be busy canning and freezing, so I just decided to take a few months off from one of my commitments.
As I said, it has poured rain here today at times, but my pink rose planted at my sundial was so pretty that I caught a break in the rain and got these pictures.

When I was coming back in I got this picture of Gypsy, she spent her Sunday sleeping on the porch,(between our walks). But she always looks to me for a little treat, you see I carry small treats for her in my pocket and when we're walking she stops several times to beg for a little something. I know I shouldn't but who can resist those eyes, I know I can't! At the age of 12, Gypsy is a perfect weight, so I feel okay giving her a few of these healthy little treats. When I came back on the porch from my picture taking she snapped to attention and got her reward!

Hopefully later in this upcoming week I'll be back to post a picture of something new. Til then enjoy your week~Diane

It's Been a Busy Week

No matter how much I'd like to think I could post on my blog every few days or so, I realize it just will not happen! For one thing, at times I don't have much to say, or there's not much going on (and I don't want to bore people or put them to sleep reading about me).
This past week started out on a good note. My Aunt and I met our cousin Nancy and her husband Ed for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed laughing and reminiscing together. It's such a nice thing to pause in our busy lives and make the time to get together just to sit and talk. The lunch was excellent and the company very entertaining, all in all it was a most enjoyable few hours. As we were leaving Nancy gave me a real treasure. I absolutely love yellowware and she passed this butter crock on to me. It has a cream colored band around the middle and the word BUTTER is in a worn blue color.
Nancy's Mother, my Great-Aunt, found the crock many years ago. I'm so happy to have it, thank you again Nancy.

The rest of my week has been filled with just the ordinary goings on, I've been trying to get some cleaning done. My porches are in desperate need of a good cleaning but the pollen has been just awful so I'll wait to really clean the porches after the worst of the pollen is gone. I've also been sewing, I finished and listed my first piece in my Etsy shop yesterday. If you'd like to see it just click on my Etsy link under "Where to find my Work". I'm also sewing for one of the shops here in Virginia that I sell to.

I thought I'd share a picture of some iris and azaleas I picked this morning. I have iris in lots of colors and they're beautiful this year. I see the peony's are loaded with buds too, they'll be blooming in the next couple of weeks, I'll try to get a picture of them to show you.

That's how my week has gone, hope the upcoming week is a good one for each of you.
Til next time~Diane
