~tonight on ebay~

Tonight, on Ebay, I'll be listing this primitive bunny holding her red, white and blue "star" eggs.Hope you get a chance to take a look at her, the auction will last 5 days, ending this Friday evening. **THIS IS A CORRECTION...PREVIOUSLY I STATED IT WOULD BE A WEEK.**

I'm sewing on one final Spring bunny, an order, and then will get to more for Ebay and my selling blog.

Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday,

~something new coming soon~

I finally finished some orders and have almost finished a rabbit for Ebay. I'm hoping to list it either tomorrow night (for a 5-day auction) or Sunday night (for a 7-day auction), not sure yet which it will be.
TDIPT Mercantile will update this coming Wednesday evening and I need to get ready for that also.

Then my next project will hopefully be getting several things listed on my selling blog. It's been a very long time since I listed anything on there but hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

Finally, for those that love primitives and enjoy reading about the artists' who create them be sure to check out the new Stampington magazine "PRIMS". You can order a copy online by clicking the picture of the cover to the right. I know it will also be available in Barnes and Noble stores. Alot of wonderful designers, including several TDIPT artists, will be featured in this premiere issue. It will only come out twice a year, April and November. So be sure to grab yourself a copy, it promises to be one of those you'll want to hang onto.

Check back tomorrow or Sunday evening, I'll be posting a picture of my latest rabbit.

til then.....

~spring has sprung~

Tomorrow we're supposed to have a return to sunshine and warmer temperatures after many days of cloudy, drizzley weather. Today I took this picture of my first daffodils to bloom.

I've noticed the purple violets are up, the japonica is budding and the pussy willows are blooming, so Spring has sprung. And I am so glad after the harsh winter we've had.

Tonight I listed Abby, a bunny angel, on Ebay. Her auction is five days and will end Sunday eveing, (9:20 p.m. eastern time).

She's a very chubby little bunny with lots of detail. I do hope you'll take the time to visit Abby's auction.

I hope wherever you live you'll be blessed with a beautiful Spring.

~appearing on ebay tonight~

Tommy (and his big carrot) will appear on Ebay later tonight. For those of you that watched Katie's (with her strawberry) auction last week, this is her brother. You can click on my Ebay link to the right to find my auctions.

Other than sewing on Tommy I've been working on things for the shop and doing a bit of yardwork. There's so much to clean up after our long, cold and snowy winter. I've never seen so many twigs and branches that need to be picked up. We have been having perfect weather for it though, so you won't hear me complaining about it.

Back to my sewing, hope you all have a peaceful evening.

~simply delicious~

Lemon Cake Pie

2 eggs separated
1 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 lemon [juice and 1/2 teaspoon zest]
4 teaspoons plain flour
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon melted butter

Combine sugar, flour and salt. Whip egg yolks, add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in lemon juice, zest and melted butter. Beat the two egg whites and fold into the other ingredients. Pour into a 9 inch pie shell. {I buy the Pillsbury pie crusts that come 2 to a package and use one of my own pie plates.}
Bake at 350 degrees

This is such a good pie! The recipe is very old, an elderly woman, Mrs. Gilbert, gave the recipe to my mother years ago. It didn't include the cooking time. I simply cook it until the crust is golden brown and the top is browned. Since ovens vary I hesitate to give an exact time. Let it cool completely before slicing.

I've always loved lemon-flavored desserts for Spring and Easter and since today is such a beautiful, warm early-Spring day I thought you might like to try it too.

Hoping your day is filled with sunshine....

~katie and her strawberry~

Katie was just listed tonight on Ebay, you can click on my Ebay link to the right to see more pictures and read all about Katie.

Next I'll be finishing up an order for Southern Past-Times here in Virgina. I'm doing some bunnies for the shop.

Today I received my copy of the premier issue of Jill Peterson's new magazine~A Simple Life~ If you love primitives you should order a copy of this magazine. It will come out quarterly. You can find out more about this great magazine at www.asimplelifemagazine.com. I also received my new issue of Early American Life, so I can't wait to curl up and read these two magazines from cover to cover.

Have a good evening.
