A Sneak Peek and Labor Day Weekend~

Tomorrow night between 9:00 and 10:00 P.M eastern time
http://www.tdiptmercantile.com/ updates. Here's a picture of my offerings for the month of September. A petite Witch with lots of details and hand-stitching and several small pumpkin make-do's on small vintage spools.

Today my aunt and I went to a local orchard and got lots of peaches. This particular orchard has peaches from July till the middle of September. We try to make several trips during the season. I make peach cobblers and pies and just eat them fresh. They're so good compared to the ones in grocery stores.

Tomorrow our local Fire House has their annual Labor Day weekend Chicken Barbecue fund raiser. My family always gets together, buys the chicken dinners and comes to my house for the meal, we always have such a good time. Lots of food, laughter and talking!

To all of you, I hope you have a wonderful, safe Labor Day Weekend! It's so hard for me to believe we're at the end of the Summer and heading into Fall, my favorite time of the year.

Till next time~Diane~

New Listing on Ebay.

I listed this Jack-O-Lantern~Harvest Moon Make-Do on Ebay tonight. It will end next Sunday evening. Hope you get a chance to take a look at it.

It's so hard to believe we're entering the last week of August! Four months from now will be Christmas Eve, can you believe it! I'm starting to think about some Holiday designs, haven't decided exactly when I'll get started on them, but it will be soon.

For now, I'm finishing up something for the Mercantile for September 1st. Look for the site to be updated a week from tonight. If I get a chance I'll put some pictures here sometime this week. Then I have a special order 4-season angel I have got to finish, my poor customer has waited long enough for it!

Then it's on to something for Simply Primitives which will update the 15th of September. I also have a couple of shops here in Virginia that I make a few things for, they're both planning Harvest/Fall Open Houses during the month of Sept. Needless to say, I'll be very busy!

I hope you all have a great week, enjoy it! Til next time...

A Helping Hand for a Worthwhile Cause....

I'm taking part in an Auction Sept. 7th thru the 14th. I've copied and pasted some information about it below and you can click on the Blog link below to learn more about the auction and Artists taking part in it. The proceeds will be used to set up the Miracles for Mallory Fund to help other families affected by this devastating genetic defect.

The information below was copied and pasted from:

http://www.miraclesformallory.blogspot.com/

"Thank you for visiting our site and showing support for a very wonderful family during their greatest time of need. Crafters and artists from all over have graciously donated their time and items in memory of Mallory for a silent auction. We will be coming together September 7th through September 14th to raise awareness for Trisomy 18, a genetic chromosome disorder afflicting newborns.

Mallory Marie Blankenship was born with this disease. In addition, only one of her heart chambers developed. She also was born with an omphalocele. Mallory was given little to no hope of surviving birth. Beating these odds, Mallory was born on her big sister Drew’s birthday, July 4th, creating a forever and lasting bond with her sister. Mallory fought and beat the odds, staying alive four wonderful days and touching every person who came in contact with her. She was a magnificent little girl, who only blessed lives and knew love. That’s why we refer to her as “our little angel.”

I hope you'll take time to check out Shay's Blog and , of course, join us Sept. 7th for the auction.

My current Ebay listing.

I just wanted to share a picture of my current Ebay listing. It ends Sunday evening. I have plans to list a Witch Doll next, but it's been a very busy week so we'll see.

Tonight I was at my sewing group meeting. We're making jumpers for little girls and shorts for little boys. They'll be going to Africa for children orphaned by the Aids epidemic. I debated about joining the group, I thought, "Well you sew so much anyway, and don't seem to have enough hours in the day now". But it was something I really wanted to participate in and I'm very glad I did join the group. As the saying goes, You can find time to do what you want to do! We have so much fun, lots of talking, a bit of snacking and we have accomplished so much. We have over 150 jumpers made and I don't even know how many pairs of shorts! So we're having fun and have alot to show for our efforts, too. I'm very glad I made the decision to join.

Til next time....Diane

I finally made it......

to blogland, that is! My Tdipt friends have been saying for so long, "You need a blog", "It's easy!" and my personal favorite, "If I can do, you can do it!" Well, I'm here to tell you, that's not necessarily so! 'Specially if you're as computer challenged as I am! I can truthfully tell you, if it wasn't for Jamie of ~Peach Street Primitives~ you would not be reading this! So Jamie, a hug and a big thank you to you! Also to Jan of ~Big Brown Dog~ fame, the graphics-whiz of Tdipt, who created my banner and sized it for me to use on this blog, thank you dear Jan. You're always there for us when we need you, which is probably more often than you want!

On this blog I hope to keep you posted as to what I'm up to and new deisgns and where you'll be able to find them. I do hope you'll check back often, I'm going to try to post regularly. I know from my own experience that it can be disappointing to go to your favorite blog and find it hasn't been updated for weeks.

I'm also planning a drawing in the not to distant future. I haven't decided if it'll be a Fall-themed or Christmas-themed prize......maybe both! We'll see how my time goes. If you have a preference, let me know.

Well I need to get to work, I have a couple of orders demanding my attention. So, till next time....
