It's Been a Busy Week

No matter how much I'd like to think I could post on my blog every few days or so, I realize it just will not happen! For one thing, at times I don't have much to say, or there's not much going on (and I don't want to bore people or put them to sleep reading about me).
This past week started out on a good note. My Aunt and I met our cousin Nancy and her husband Ed for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed laughing and reminiscing together. It's such a nice thing to pause in our busy lives and make the time to get together just to sit and talk. The lunch was excellent and the company very entertaining, all in all it was a most enjoyable few hours. As we were leaving Nancy gave me a real treasure. I absolutely love yellowware and she passed this butter crock on to me. It has a cream colored band around the middle and the word BUTTER is in a worn blue color.
Nancy's Mother, my Great-Aunt, found the crock many years ago. I'm so happy to have it, thank you again Nancy.

The rest of my week has been filled with just the ordinary goings on, I've been trying to get some cleaning done. My porches are in desperate need of a good cleaning but the pollen has been just awful so I'll wait to really clean the porches after the worst of the pollen is gone. I've also been sewing, I finished and listed my first piece in my Etsy shop yesterday. If you'd like to see it just click on my Etsy link under "Where to find my Work". I'm also sewing for one of the shops here in Virginia that I sell to.

I thought I'd share a picture of some iris and azaleas I picked this morning. I have iris in lots of colors and they're beautiful this year. I see the peony's are loaded with buds too, they'll be blooming in the next couple of weeks, I'll try to get a picture of them to show you.

That's how my week has gone, hope the upcoming week is a good one for each of you.
Til next time~Diane

Love the crock Diane and it sounds like you are quite busy too.

I never really have much to say either, mainly ramblings I call it. LOL

The flowers are so pretty.

I hope you have a beautiful Mother's Day.
